I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
